So I'm back at work after an 11-day weekend, and what's the first thing I do? Repost content from one of my day job's many blogs, which is something I try to avoid most times. I admit it, I'm shameless. At least it's a good list full of warm fuzzies.

Some of these individuals play themselves, others lend their voices to original characters -- in either case, they, and Futurama, deserve recognition from the community for their brilliant contributions to arguably the best/nerdiest animated program on the air. Thus, TR presents the eight Nerdiest Futurama guest stars.

Anyone who knows me will tell you that it's rare that I'm struck speechless by something. That's where I am with this. Topless Robot says it best, so I'll just defer to them.

Good news everybody! An inside source has revealed exclusively to Collider that "Futurama" has been given a 13 episode order by Comedy Central.
If you listen carefully, you can hear my wife squealing with glee.
Sunny'll be pleased - the next Futurama straight-to-dvd feature is coming up June 24th!

Futurama was killed, but like some B-movie cyborg it refused to stay dead. The fans watched the 72 episodes religiously in syndication and shelled out $170 to get the entire run on DVD. So, in 2005, Fox green-lighted 16 new episodes. Cohen and Groening have reassembled many of the hundreds of writers, animators, and voice artists who'd gone on to other projects to create four DVDs of new material, including sexy robot stage shows. The first DVD hits stores on November 27, and the features will then be divided into half-hour episodes when the entire run of the series begins airing on Comedy Central next year.
At last, Futurama is getting a fifth season.

For those of you still cursing the name of Rupert Murdoch for killing Futurama, I hope this will bring back some fond memories - or just open old wounds. We've got Bender, Leela, The Professor, Zoidberg, and Zapp & Kif!
