This is such a great story. Chicago Cubs fan Stefan Xidas, who has Down syndrome, raised nearly $40,000 for the Special Olympics in Illinois. So the team granted his wish and let him come and sing the national anthem at Monday night’s game. And he was amazing!

Not just any man and not just any blood. James Harrison has unique, disease-fighting antibodies in his system. Here is the story on the good this man did over that time period.

You might not have such unique antibodies in you but I will still get on a soapbox for a minute or two here. Give blood. Give plasma. Costs you nothing but a few minutes; it might save a life.

We've been waiting a long time to see the "world's first giant robot duel," and next week we'll finally get to watch the metal-on-metal action. If you’ve forgotten the background, all the way back in July 2015 a US team of engineers (MegaBots Inc.) challenged their Japanese rivals (Suidobashi Heavy Industry) to a fight, but the difficulty in finding a venue and upgrading the robots has delayed the bout. Well, next Tuesday, October 17th at 7PM PT, the duel will finally be streamed on Twitch for all to see.

Although she had the blood of chiefs - Malawi's traditional authority figures - running through her veins, as the youngest of 12 siblings, a woman, and a mother of five, Kachindamoto never expected to become a senior chief to the more than 900,000 people. But when the chiefs called, she says, they told her to pack her bags and go home to Dedza district, as she had been chosen as the next senior chief. She was shocked when she saw girls as young as 12 with babies and teenaged husbands, and was soon ordering the people to give up their ways. "I told them: 'Whether you like it or not, I want these marriages to be terminated.'"

It's unimaginably difficult for the victim in a child abuse case to face his or her attacker. In the foreign world of a court of law, it must be damned near impossible.

Fortunately, a group has been formed, the Bikers Against Child Abuse, who act to protect these children and provide both comfort and support.

A new documentary called "Ai Pioppi" tells the story of Bruno, an Italian restaurant owner who has built an entire amusement park by hand over the past 40 years. Since first learning to weld in the 1960s, he has constructed an assortment of swings, slides, seesaws, and roller coasters in an ethereal clearing in the middle of the woods.

The amusement park, located near the northern Italy city of Treviso, is meant to bring in customers to Bruno's family restaurant. The park's distinct other-worldly feel has drawn plenty of visitors, becoming a tourist attraction in its own right.
