We're in the home stretch, just a couple more days to the theatrical release of the movie! With that, here's a few items to gnaw on while waiting:
Matthew Goode, the guy who played Ozymandius, is apparently a foulmouthed little bitch.
New Scientist takes a gander at the plausibility of the science behind the story and characters.

The trailers and sneak peeks just keep on coming - at this rate, we'll have seen most of the movie by release day... but this one's really choice. 8 days and counting!

As we round the last bend towards the release of the movie, I find that I'm actually more excited about the motion comic that's being released on DVD in tandem with the theatrical film, as it combines both the reading experience and those crudely-animated superhero cartoons I used to groove so hard on as a kid. Plus, the motion comic hasn't been hyped into the ground yet.
Oh, and Wheaton got to see the flick early, and says Watchmen geeks have absolutely nothing to worry about.

As you can see from the photos, these cans bear the name "Nite Owl" and have an image of the character of the same name from the Watchmen movie. We tried to read some of the other type on the cans, but all we can make out are the letters "OCC" on the back of the can and the words "All Organic" on the front.

Sure, it's a few years old, but if you haven't seen it before, it's timely as the day's news and peepeepants funny.
Oh, and the movie's coming out on time. Fox and Warner came to an agreement, and are now spooning on a monstrous pile of cash.

Warner's getting impatient, and has asked that the Jan 20 ruling as to who gets to do what with the movie be moved up to as early as this next Monday, and there's a new featurette out on the Minutemen photo.

A new trailer has surfaced from Japan, with a whole bunch of new footage previously unseen - if Fox has their way and the movie doesn't release, we can probably piece together all the trailers and get most of the movie that way.

...and Fox still owns the Watchmen. The judge has suggested that Warner let Fox distribute, but the fate of the movie is now even farther up in the air than ever before. Fox is either gonna make a shit ton of money for doing nothing but waiting until the work was done and promoted, or the movie will never see the light of day and Warner will lose everything they put into it.
